2. Data we collect
A. Browsing data
The systems that run this website acquire, in the course of normal operation, certain data whose transmission is inherent in the use of Internet protocols (IP address, browser and device type, time of request, pages visited). This data is used to produce aggregate statistics on site usage and to check that the site works correctly.
B. Data you provide
Completing the quote request form, sending an email or contacting us via WhatsApp involves collecting the data you enter: name, phone number, pick-up and drop-off address, date and time of service, number of passengers and items of luggage, flight number or ship name, together with any additional notes.
The form does not ask for an email address: the request is sent through WhatsApp and we reply on the same channel or by phone.
This data is used solely to answer your request and provide the service. It is not used for automated marketing messages, nor passed to third parties for marketing purposes.
3. Purposes and legal bases
| Purpose | Legal basis | Retention |
|---|---|---|
| Replying to quote and information requests | Pre-contractual measures at the data subject's request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) | 24 months from last contact |
| Performing the chauffeur service | Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) | Duration of the relationship plus 24 months |
| Invoicing, accounting and tax obligations | Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR) | 10 years (Art. 2220 Italian Civil Code) |
| Website usage statistics (Google Analytics) | Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) | 14 months |
| Advertising campaign measurement (Google Ads) | Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) | Up to 13 months |
| Site security and correct operation | Legitimate interest of the controller (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) | 12 months |
Providing the fields marked as required in the form is necessary to prepare a quote: without them we cannot process your request.
4. Cookies and tracking technologies
Analytics and marketing tools are optional and are not loaded before your choice. Accept all, use necessary tools only, or choose analytics and marketing separately. Refusing does not prevent you from browsing or requesting a quote.
A. Technical and preference cookies — always active
sm_cookie_consent — Stores your permitted categories, choice date and notice version in your browser for six months. A new choice is requested after expiry or material changes. Local storage is separate from cookies: clearing cookies alone may not remove this preference.
B. Analytics cookies — subject to consent
- Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd.) — Visit and interaction statistics. Cookies
_gaand_ga_*: the site sets expiry to 365 days, without automatic renewal on each visit. This is separate from data retention in the Analytics service. - Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation) analyses clicks, scrolling and session recordings to improve usability, only with Analytics consent. Quote forms are marked for content masking. It may process technical device and browsing data and use pseudonymous identifiers, including
_clckand_clsk. We do not grant advertising storage consent to Clarity. Cookie types and processing are described in the linked Microsoft documentation; recording retention depends on service settings.
C. Marketing cookies — subject to consent
Google Ads (Google Ireland Ltd.) measures campaigns and conversions, only with Marketing consent. It may use _gcl_* cookies and services on Google, doubleclick.net and googleadservices.com domains. Duration depends on the cookie and provider settings; see the linked Google list.
D. Third-party services on the site
- Google Maps and Places API (Contact page) — used to suggest addresses while you fill in the form. The service loads only when you first use the address field and involves sending your IP address to Google.
- Google Fonts — typefaces are requested from Google servers, which receive the visitor's IP address.
- Blog publishing platform (app.trysoro.com) — loads the articles shown on the home page.
The embedded location map may contact Google when displayed. Fonts, maps and blog content services are separate from optional analytics and advertising tools. When you choose to send a request through WhatsApp, the message and entered details are also processed by WhatsApp under its privacy notice.
Change or withdraw consent using “Cookie preferences” at the bottom of each page. Withdrawal updates consent signals, removes accessible optional cookies on our domain for rejected categories and reloads the page to stop tools already loaded. Unsent form entries may therefore be cleared. Manage cookies on other domains through your browser settings. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of previous processing.
Provider documentation and privacy notices
5. Recipients of the data
Your data is not disclosed publicly. It may be shared with:

Applicable safeguards, such as adequacy decisions for certified recipients or standard contractual clauses, are described in the respective providers’ notices and terms. You can request information about applicable safeguards at info@smlimoservice.com.
7. Automated decision-making
The price estimate shown by the request form is calculated in your browser from the details you enter (route, vehicle, time). It is purely indicative, produces no legal effects and does not constitute automated decision-making under Article 22 GDPR: the final rate is always confirmed by a member of staff.

9. Complaint to the supervisory authority
If you believe the processing infringes applicable law, you may lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, Piazza Venezia 11, 00187 Rome — www.garanteprivacy.it) under Article 77 GDPR, or bring proceedings before the competent court.
